If you want to share the concept of God or you yourself want a simple analogy of what it’s like to know God. Perhaps this is the post that you can use.
I’ve seen this post years ago, but this has recently resurfaced. So I’m going to share it again and here it goes.
The Conversation Between Twins in the Womb
In a mother’s womb were two babies.
One asked the other, “Do you believe in life after delivery?”
The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what will be later.”
“Nonsense.” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well, I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover, if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery, there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know.” said the second, “But certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied, “Mother? Do you actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists, then where is she now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by Her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her, this world will not and could not exist.”
Said the first, “Well, I don’t see Her. So it’s only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes when you’re in silence and you focus and listen, you can perceive Her presence. And you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”
What the Story Represents
I don’t know if you’ve heard of this analogy before. But the fact remains, just like this analogy, a lot of people today want to explain away the existence of God like the first child.
“There is no Mother.”
“I can’t hear Her voice.”
“Logic tells me that I can’t see Her, so I don’t believe that She’s there and there is no afterlife.”
“There is no after-delivery and we simply cease to exist after delivery.”
Can you imagine how tragic this is if an infant actually thinks like this in the womb of a mother? What is even more tragic today is millions of people today around the world believe the same thing about the afterlife. They use “logic, reason, and science” that think that they know what is going to happen in the afterlife. But in fact, they know nothing about the afterlife.
God Reveals Himself to Those Who Ask
The second baby in the womb says, “Sometimes when you’re in silence and you focus and you listen, you can perceive Her presence.” If you can’t hear God today. If you don’t know He’s real. Perhaps it is good for you to come before God and say, “God, I don’t even know if you’re real. But I’m praying and I’m quieting down myself. I humble myself and say, if You’re real, please reveal Yourself to me.”
I can tell you that many people have prayed that prayer and God actually revealed Himself to him or her when they are humble and they’re seeking God with all their heart. Because this is the promise of God that if you seek out with all your heart, you will find Him. (Jeremiah 29:13)
If you don’t believe in God today, as God to reveal Himself to you. If you do believe in God, if you are his children, encourage yourself knowing that one day, we will see Him. That there’s so much more than life than the nine months in the womb.
So many people today spend their entire lifetime thinking about what they’re going to do in those nine months in the womb, which is our life here on earth. But the bible tells us clearly that we don’t live that life that is here on earth because we have an eternal kingdom that does not fade away.
May you and I live for the kingdom that is never fading away and cannot be shaken because God is there and He rules and reigns. And we who believe in Jesus Christ and overcome, we will rule and reign with Him! Hallelujah!
Go ahead and share this with other people.
Until next time.
God bless you!
