Here is my challenge to you.
Can you prove me wrong in the logic that I am about to share with you regarding the existence of God? If you already believe in God, then go and share this with your children and other people who want to ask you, “Is there an existence of God?”
I actually learned this from a man named Ray Comfort. He likes to do street evangelism and I’m sure he’s not the only one who just said this, but here is how it goes. When he’s on the street talking to people, sometimes people would say, “Well, I’m an atheist, I don’t believe in God.” And this is what he says, “Hey, do you see that building over there?” The person will say “Yes.” “How do you know there’s a builder?”
The person ponders for a little bit and says, “Because I see the building.” Then he asked him. “Do you see that painting? And he says, “Yes.” “Well, how do you know there is a painter?” “Well, because I see the painting.” In the very same way, How do you know that God exists? Because creation is proof that God exists. Can you prove me wrong in this logic? If you can, drop it in the comments below because I highly doubt you can.
The bible puts it in this way in Romans 1:20
“Since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen by our eyes, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”
Those who don’t believe in God, are without excuse.
“Because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts and their foolish hearts were darkened.”
The word of God clearly tells us today that His attributes are clearly seen when you look at the trees, when you look at the human body, when you have children and we can see the fact that the sperm and egg come together and create a full human body when it’s full grown. That has to be a miracle!
Creation is Proof
How can that be by chance? You tell me that you look at creation. In Canada, where I go to the bank on the west coast, the landscape, the mountains, the water are so beautiful! And I’m sure where you live, you can find certain aspects of nature that are so intricate and so beautiful that it is impossible for one to believe with pure logic, that all of that came from pure chance, or randomness, or some kind of a big bang.
And yet this is what our culture, what university professors want to teach our children today, because their minds are futile. They did not want to honor God. They did not want to glorify Him, not to be thankful of His creation, because their foolish hearts were darkened. That is what the bible says.
And so today, what are you going to do about it?
When someone says, “Well, I don’t believe in God.” Do you just say something very polite and be like, “Okay, well maybe you’re right, and maybe you know, there’s another way to look at this.”
OR you’re going to share with them with love and say, “Hey, do you see that building over there?” you’re going to ask him, “Why do you believe that there’s a builder?” And as you continue that logic with painting and any other creative thing here on earth, may we share the truth of God to people who need to know that there is a God. And not only that there is a God, that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, and only through Him can we go to heaven.
Because one day this invisible God that we can’t see right now, we will see Him visibly. And Jesus Christ, He will be the ultimate judge to judge every one of how they lived their lives. Whether they lived in true, genuine repentance and faith in Him, or whether they lived a life that is pleasing to themselves and that will lead to absolute eternal destruction in hell, which God does not want anyone to go to. But He has given us a choice.
Will you choose to believe Him? Will you choose to honor Him? When even clear logic tells you that that is the case? And yet we have scientists, we have professors. We have people who are “famous” trying to tell us otherwise today. What will you tell your children? What will you tell your friends?
I encourage you lift up the name of Jesus wherever you go. Share the Gospel because the time is at hand. Jesus says, “Whoever confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before my Father in heaven.” It is a privilege for us as children of God to share about the goodness and the creation of God. Because we know that it is only through knowing this Creator, Jesus Christ, for all things are created by Him and through Him, that we can have eternal life, and not just only us, but also for the world.
If you have other ways of sharing the existence of God, I would love to hear it in the comment section. Drop it below. Let us share the Gospel!
