"I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me." Galatians 2:20
Justin Bieber Said THIS About JESUS! Crowd CHEERS!

Have you seen the 30-second clip of Justin Bieber preaching at some kind of a concert? It’s not the type of preaching that you normally hear at churches but I think a lot of Christians can learn from this.

Justin Bieber's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Samples Are No 'Justice' - Rolling Stone

This is what he said:

“I’m tired of religion, I’m tired of division. I just want to know what it looks like to love people. I want to know that Jesus who goes to where the broken people are. We do got hope, and His name is Jesus and He has changed my life.”

Some people will look at this video and say, “Well, how can Justin Bieber get up there and talk about Jesus when he lived such a wretched life?” He was doing drugs, getting drunk, standing before a judge and court for DUI – drunk driving, and all these things.

And we look at him like, you’re not in the place to preach.

Is that how you feel?

Or maybe you think we can’t listen to a young guy like this.

I assure you there are at least three lessons we can learn from him about what he just said and his life.

Before we continue, please remember Jesus had the most trouble during His time on earth with religious people. The people who call themselves “knowing God.” Whether they are pastors or not, they know the scriptures, they pray, they tithe, they do all these things and yet Jesus says, they are not entering the Kingdom of Heaven because they have self-righteousness.

Let’s learn with a humble heart what we can learn from Justin Bieber today.

You Can Redeem Yourself

The bible says in Proverbs 22:6:

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

It is true that he seems to have lived a life in the past several years that are kind of sketchy. He was doing drugs, and people caught him with these images that looked kind of really sketchy.

But guess what? It seems like right now, he has come back.

Shouldn’t we rejoice when a brother in the faith comes back?

The bible says that we are to train up our children to walk in the right path. And here’s the good news! Even though someone departs, they can come back to the faith because you have trained them up.

So if you’ve got children today, I encourage you. Show them by your actions. Show them by your life how you can live your life. Just going to church on Sunday will not help them to grow in their faith.

Because Justin Bieber in his earlier videos, talked about how he grew up in a Christian home. And with that faith background, he has now found God later in his life!

God Can Take a Mess and Turn It Into a Message

The cliché that God can take a mess and make it into a message is so true here. Even though he seemed to have messed up, but now he’s using this platform.

Can you imagine people listening to his music, watching his performance, and now he’s using his fame and influence that God has given him to praise the Lord Jesus Christ.

He says, I’m tired of religion, I’m tired of division, I just want to learn how to love. Isn’t that the gospel message?

How many Christians today understand the simple gospel message? Instead, many Christians want to divide, bicker, and gossip about things that they really shouldn’t gossip about.

What we should do is pray and intercede for people. Have we learned that? Certainly the scripture is true that God uses the foolish things of this world to shame the wise, because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. Think about that.

God Will Not Despise a Broken and Contrite Spirit

What we can learn here in Justin Bieber’s 30-second video is that the bible says, “A broken and contrite spirit, God will not despise.”

I don’t know, you can look at him and you can say, “Well he’s acting. Those tears, or whatever he’s conveying, it’s just all an act. It’s all a show.”

My question is why would he do that? It doesn’t help his platform. It doesn’t help his influence. In fact, standing up with Jesus Christ in Hollywood is almost like a death wish because people will not want to listen to you anymore. But he’s throwing it all out there!

My question for you and me today is, what if you and I throw ourselves out there in the name of Jesus? Have we used our platform or influence for the glory of God? Are we being timid? Are we being “Oh, I’m not sure what people are going to think of me?”

Today, it is easy to look at other people and say: He’s doing this. He’s doing that. I don’t believe he’s genuine.

Well, how about us? How about starting with us and asking, “Is my life genuine?” “Is my faith genuine before God?”

Because Jesus said it this way, “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of God. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

How many times have we shed tears and prayed and say, “God change this life. I thank You so much that you’ve transformed my life.” How many times have we wept over the lost souls of this world, the people who we know are destined to go to hell if they don’t repent?

Instead of pointing the finger and say, “I don’t know about this Justin Bieber whether it’s true or not.” Let us look into ourselves and say, “God change this heart of mine. Change this life of mine so that it will be pleasing to You.”

Justin Bieber certainly is not in the church setting and he’s not wearing these suits, just a t-shirt, and a tracksuit. But right there, he’s speaking to people, giving them the message of the gospel.

Now, is it a very full message? No, but it’s his testimony. You can be a testimony to those around you.

Jesus gave a parable saying, “There are two sons. One son said I’m not going to do it, but later he actually went and did it. The second son says, I am going to go and do what you told me to do and he did not do it.” And Jesus asked the question, “Who did the will of the Father?”

Today, you don’t have to be this ultimate, great influential person. You might have walked away from God. You might have not done His will. But today you can say, I’m going to come back to You, God. because I choose to do Your will now!

Just like Justin Bieber, no matter how much opposition, how much criticism, he doesn’t care. He’s doing it himself out there. Let us also uplift the name of Jesus in our lives. Do not be ashamed of the Gospel because Jesus is coming back!

Use your influence, use your circle of friends, and tell them about the Gospel and the great news of Jesus Christ!

God bless you!
