"I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me." Galatians 2:20
How To STOP Sinning Over and Over Again!

If you have asked yourself this question before, “Why do I keep committing the same sin over and over and over again?” I want to give you good news in this video to tell you FIVE ways of how you can overcome that and receive the forgiveness and the grace of God in your life.

1. Demonic Oppression is Real

Number one, you have to understand that demonic oppression is real. We see that all throughout the Bible and the scriptures and especially if you’ve dabbled on the things like witchcraft, New Age things, consulting psychics and mediums and Tarot card readings for your life, things of that nature. You need to have deliverance in your life, whether it’s through your local church or going online.

Different deliverance ministers can help you get free from that. Because you need the blood of Jesus to cleanse you from all that and also, to protect you, so that you’re not oppressed by the things of darkness and demons anymore.

With this said, you have to understand that many sins that people “fall into” are not actually from demonic oppression. Because number two:

2. Sometimes, People are Self-Deceived

In James chapter 1:14-15, it says:

“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away with his own desires, and enticed. Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin when it’s full-grown, it brings forth death.”

Today, many people are blaming things on the devil. But it’s not the devil, it’s their flesh – but it’s your own desire. If you have been tempted to drink over and over again, why do you have alcohol in your home?

If you’re tempted into a relationship that you know you shouldn’t do certain things, especially before marriage – Why are you alone with that person in the car, in a place that is private and alone, why are you doing that?

Why are you tempting yourself in that way? Do something about it. If you’re watching things you shouldn’t watch online – Why do you have in your computer fully unfiltered, fully accessible to you in a way that’s very private and no one’s keeping you accountable? Why are you doing that?

Jesus says, “If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.” Because it’s better for you to enter into life, you know, blind or maimed than to have your whole body thrown into the fire, which is number three:

3. Lack of Fear of God and Eternal Consequence

You have to understand that the lack of the fear of God and eternal consequence is one of the biggest reasons why people continue to do things that they know they shouldn’t do, and they sinned against God. First Corinthians, chapter 6:9-11, says that:

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither, fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God. These people will not enter Heaven. And such were some of you, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus by the spirit of our God.”

Ask yourself today. Do you fear God? Do you really believe that there is a judgment coming? That Jesus will make everything revealed whether done in secret, and in public. If you have this fear of God then ask yourself, why is it that I’m not making more radical changes in my lifestyle? So that I can make myself obey the word of God more than obeying the temptation and obeying your own flesh.

Colossians chapter 3:5-7:

“Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things, the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.”

If you read these lists that the Bible talks about that we just discussed – uncleanness, passion, fornication, covetousness, and you’re still continually doing them, then you have to ask yourself. Are you a true child of God, or are you a child of disobedience of the devil? It’s very clear. The Bible says, here, you were once walking in these things and you lived in them, but you should be no more doing them.

Ephesians chapter 5:3-7:

“But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this, you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.”

Today, you’re going to hear people telling you, pastors, religious leaders, telling you, it’s okay. You’re just “struggling” with sin. But let me ask you, are you really struggling with sin if you do it every day? If you do it two, three times a day? Are you really struggling with sin? Do you really believe that there’s a heaven to gain, and hell to avoid?

When I say heaven to gain, I mean not our own words gain heaven, but in terms of us repenting of our sins, trusting in Jesus Christ. Then we can “gain” that heaven through the work of Jesus Christ. But there’s also work that you have to do.

There is work that you have to do. You have to repent. Turn away from your sin and put your faith in Jesus Christ. That is what you gotta do. Today, some people tell you, “Oh, there’s nothing you can do or else you’re adding to the work of Christ.” Repentance is not adding to the work of Christ.

The first thing that Jesus says, “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” John the Baptist said the same thing. The disciples said the same thing. “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

If you really believe that there is a hell, if you really believe there’s a heaven, then that ought to change our own lifestyles. Ask yourself. Do you really believe that? Because if you do, your life will change.

4. The Devil is a Liar

Number four, you have to understand that the devil – the enemy is a liar. Jesus says, he’s the father of all lies. He’s going to tell you, “Man, you can never be forgiven. Just keep doing it anyway. You’ve done that all through 10, 20, 30 years, whatever it is. God can never forgive you for that. God can never forgive you for what you’ve done.” And that is a lie.

I want to tell you that God has forgiveness for you. God has grace for you. If you’ll turn to Him, if you say, “God, I’m so sorry, I repent of my sins. Help me to make right the situations that need to be made right. I’ll search for certain situations that I can make right. Teach me what is pleasing in your eyes.”

He always has Grace. Remember all the situations in a gospel. Jesus says to the woman who was caught in adultery. “Are there anybody else condemning you?” The woman says “No.” And Jesus says, “Neither do I condemn you.” But he doesn’t stop there. “Go and sin no more.”

Jesus gives grace to us today so that we don’t have to continue to live a life of sin. But He can empower us through the power of the Holy Spirit. But the Holy Spirit is not going to overpower you and just make you stop sinning and live like this holy and pleasing to God.

The Bible says, purify your hearts, purify your hands. It’s something that we got to do by the power of the Holy Spirit through our own will obeying God. That’s how you walk in the path of eternal life.

And that is my number five is so important. That you have to not forget that:

5. You are a New Born Again Christian in Jesus Christ

Your spirit is born anew, made right resurrected, seated in the Heavenly Realms with Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit dwells within you. You have to agree with God about who you are not with the devil about what you’ve done in the past.

Today is the day of salvation. Today is to say, I want to repent, I turn away from that. God, help me. I put in measures. I do things at a radical that people call me crazy, but I don’t care. I’m going to do it because I want to honor you, God.

Remind yourself that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. What you say, what you think, what you see, what you hear, what you do – you’re doing them as an ambassador of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, shall we take our body and make it one with a harlot? Certainly not, because our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Overcoming Sin

So today, if you need to be free from demonic oppression, go and see deliverance. Be free in Jesus’ name! Be free from the attack of the evil one. Have every demon cast out of you. But that’s not enough if you continue to go back to your flesh, and just keep doing what you know, is not right.

Today is the day you say, “God, I deny my flesh, I pick up my cross and follow you, Jesus. Help me live a life pleasing to you. I know by the power of your Holy Spirit. I can do it.”

Put in discipline. How do you think soldiers win wars? They train, they practice, they have discipline. Today, you need spiritual discipline. How do you expect soldiers to win wars if they don’t train, they don’t practice? Train your body, train your flesh, fast, pray.

Set there a time in your day to pray and seek the face of God. Pray all the scriptures. Pray out His promises in your life. Speak against the devil – No, I will not have that! No, devil that is a lie! I believe that God has made me more than conquered in Jesus Christ. That His blood washes me clean. That I’m more than a conqueror. That nothing shall be able to separate me from the love of God when I walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.

They cleared the word of God over your life. Receive the blessings and promises of God in your life through Jesus Christ, not through what you’ve done when you’re a man. God’s grace is abundant for you as far as the east is from the west. He forgives you if you turn back to him. His heart is for none to perish, but for all to have eternal life.

Will you receive it? In order to receive it, you got to humble yourself. You got to understand that one day, we all will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. And on that day, only those who have genuine faith will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who have genuine faith are repented of their sins. Their names are written in the Book of Life.

Praise God that His mercy is new every morning, and His grace for all his children as we come back to him.

May you be blessed!
