"I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me." Galatians 2:20
How Many Sins Before You Lose Salvation?

Have you met someone before who is always pushing the envelope? They’re always trying to see how far they can push something before you’re actually upset.

When I think about this, it actually reminds me of people who reinforce their trucks so that it’s steady and they go and chase after storms, and they’re called storm chasers. They look up where the tornadoes are, and they drive into them, instead of driving away from them because they want to catch it on footage.

And sometimes, when they’re asked “Why would you do something so dangerous?” And they will say, “Oh because they give us a thrill. We want to see when is the next storm that we can go chase.”

And when we think about this, it’s very important to also think about are we actually spiritual storm chasers? “Oh, I know that God has grace for me. So I’ll just keep on doing what I know is wrong because every time even in the back of my head before I do the thing that I know I’m not supposed to do, I’m just going to go ask God for forgiveness.”

We keep pushing the envelope one after another.

“Oh God, would you forgive me?”

“Oh God, would you help me?”

And I’m not speaking condemnation. God is deliverance, God has grace for those who truly want to be set free from their sins and from their addiction. But there comes a point when we have to ask ourselves, are we just being abusive of the grace of God and just trying to be that spiritual storm catcher pushing and pushing and seeing how close we can get to the storm without being sucked up by it and being killed by it?

Take the Mark of the Beast and You’ll Lose Salvation

And so today the question is not how many sins do I have to commit before God actually says I’ve lost my salvation? Yes, you can lose your salvation because if you don’t follow Jesus steadfastly until the end, you’ll lose it over and over again. And the bible warns people who will lose their salvation.

A very clear example is Revelation 13:16. When the anti-Christ and false prophet comes, he’s going to get everyone in the world to take a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. Those who take it, take allegiance with the devil and they will go to the lake of fire to be burned and tormented forever.

Even if they went to church, paid their tithes, and even have leadership roles. Pastors, missionaries, whatever it is it doesn’t matter if you take that mark. You will not have salvation.

Endure Until The End

In the Book of Revelation 3:5, Jesus also said to one of the churches, “He who overcomes, I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life. ” So yes, your name can be blotted out from the book of life when it’s been originally written there.

This is why Christians need to have the fear of God knowing that God is holy and that God is righteous. Does He love us? Of course! That’s why He came to this earth to die for us.

And that’s why when Jesus says, “Don’t be afraid, do not fear because it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” (Luke 12:32) The Father wants to give us a kingdom, but He’s also holy, He’s also righteous and that’s why he wants us to live a new life by the power of the Holy Spirit.

And we’re praying today “God, I want to stay as far away as possible from the storm of sin because I love You. I want to obey You because if I love You, I will keep Your commandments.” that’s what Jesus said.

And if you are currently right now feeling that you failed God over and over and over again, I want to tell you the good news!

There is the grace of God that leads us to repentance. But here’s another warning as well. Right after the scripture in Romans 2:4, it says that it is the goodness of God that leads to repentance. But if those people don’t repent, they’re treasuring up for themselves wrath for the day of wrath.

We don’t want to do that. Today is the day of salvation. Say “God, I repent. I turn back from my old ways. I don’t want to live like this. I’m pleasing to You.” when you turn your back against the world and you say yes to god, I want to surrender my whole life to You.

What are you really missing out? Depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, stress, lust, immorality, everything that will drag you away from God and everything that will give you bad results to your life and also give you punishment eternally. Why would you want that? On the contrary, we want to live a life of peace, joy, love, self-control, and all the things of the Holy Spirit. Because we are purchased for a price by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 6:20)

Keep on Following Jesus

And so I encourage you today, to keep on following Jesus every single day. Whether the culture says it’s okay, don’t look at what the culture is saying, look at what the Word of God is saying. And when you do that, you will know that you’re walking on the narrow path that leads to life because Jesus says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)

And on the times when we feel that we’re distracted, we will pray, “God, bring us back to You because we don’t want to live a life that’s lukewarm. We don’t want to leave our first love. We want to burn hot and on fire for You until Your coming.”

Go ahead and share this with other people who need to hear it.

Until next time.

God bless you!
