Perhaps you have heard someone say before that their life here on earth is like hell on earth. And I’m not trying to discredit the many tragedies the many unfortunate things that happen in life. I understand that.
But I want to share with you a Facebook post that recently went viral. And it’s so important because it deals with this concept that here on earth is actually not hell on earth. Or if you don’t believe in Jesus, if you’re not a Christian and I mean biblical Christian – truly believing in Jesus Christ, you repented of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ. If you have not done that then it is impossible for your life to be hell on earth here right now, no matter how difficult things are.
And I say this with all sincerity. I’m not trying to be insensitive. But I want to warn you something that you may not even know that’s coming. And if you are a Christian, if you truly follow Jesus, may it be our desire that we share the gospel with those around us.
The Viral Facebook Post
When we look at this post and see, “Am I ready to meet God?” there are 57,000 likes and 157,000 related engagements. And this is what she says,
Why is hell so awful?
One, It was created for Satan and his demons.
Second, because people don’t realize that hell is the absence of God.
The reason why there’s no air in hell is because God is the breath of life. There’s no peace in hell because God, Jesus, is the Prince of peace. There is no comfort in hell because God is the comforter. There is no love in hell because God is love. Hell is darkness because God is the light.
What people don’t realize is on earth, they get to experience a lot of the good qualities of God. They of course get to experience bad things on earth as well. If they do not choose God on earth, they do not get to experience His goodness in eternity. And hell is total separation from God.
So if you like the beautiful things here on earth, you should choose God because that’s what God is.
You look at the mountains, you look at creation, you look at the beauty of nature. And you need to know that it’s because of the goodness of God here on earth still because the Holy Spirit is still here with believers today.
That’s why there’s still the presence of God here. And that is why it’s still time for you to repent and turn back to Him if you’re living a lukewarm life or if you still haven’t submitted your life to Jesus Christ.
God doesn’t send people to hell. He wishes none should perish, But we are already headed there if we do not have Jesus.
God made a way to keep us from going there. We just have to accept and choose that free gift. Choose Jesus.
I would add that we are not there to “accept” Jesus because God doesn’t need our acceptance. We need to be accepted by Jesus Christ.
What we need to do is do what Peter says on the day of Pentecost when he preached to the 3000 and those came to believe in Jesus. It is to repent and be baptized for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
And PS, she says here,
I will never water down the gospel to please people. I fear God alone and not man. I won’t stand before my creator and explain that I was too scared to offend people by talking about this stuff.
Jesus talked about hell, talked about sin, repentance, holiness, and righteousness. And I want to be like Jesus, So I’m going to talk about it too.”
We Should Not Fear Men
Is that our prayer? Is that your prayer? Is that my prayer? That we don’t fear men, but we fear God. Isn’t that what the disciples did? When they’ve beaten them and they have put him in jail. The next day, they’re back out preaching about the Jesus that they say don’t preach about.
And won’t it be even more powerful, if not only we preach about Jesus, but we live out the life that God has called us to live? If your life has been hard. If you have a tragedy. If you had unfortunate events that happened. I understand maybe you’ve lost a loved one, maybe someone has hurt you in a way that is very hard to forgive them. Maybe you’ve had childhood trauma, whatever it is, I want to tell you one thing — that God knows all things and He knows what you’re going through. Especially if you’re a child of God, you can go to Him.
You don’t have to walk in defeat, depression, suicidal thoughts, and sin, because Jesus has come into the world to set you and me free. You may need people to help you to receive deliverance, to be free from demons in your life. And you also need people besides you who love Jesus to walk with you in this faith until Jesus comes.
Earth is a Glimpse of Heaven
For those of us as believers, here on earth is just a glimpse of what eternity will be in heaven, which is so much better. Those who have experienced heaven, those who have died and the doctors brought them back to life and some of them are Christians. They went to heaven, they saw the music in heaven, there’s no way to describe it. Even the flowers would talk. And the colors, there are so many different spectrums of colors that we don’t see here on earth. You meet your loved ones. So most importantly, you see God and you get to worship Him forever and ever.
That is the portion of believers who will see Jesus one day. So let us continue to pursue and endear our faith steadfast until the end. If you know people, your friends, your family, your loved ones, your coworkers who don’t know Jesus, this is the time to tell them because the very ounce of goodness that you see here on earth, the sky, the weather, the sun, the air, the water, all these goodness, the love, the peace that people have between humans.
The reason why we’re able to love one another and to have compassion and empathy. It’s because God is still here on earth. And all of this will be taken away if someone does not know Jesus Christ and they die in their sins. And that is a very horrible and scary thing to think about. And so maybe live our lives devoted to the Kingdom of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not devoted to the kingdom of the American, the North American dream. But that our lives are dedicated to God’s dreams.
Go ahead and share this with someone who needs to hear this.
Until next time.
God bless you!
