What is hell really like?
We are going to look at four things in this article. But before you move on and say, “Well, I’m a Christian, I’m not going there.” I want to caution you.
The bible actually says that a lot of “Christians” one day will end up there. And that’s not the heart of God. So read this until the very end because you don’t want to make the mistake of going there when you think you’re going to heaven.
Hell is Literal Flames and Torments
You need to know that hell is literal flames and torments! Today, you’ll hear people say:
“Oh well, hell is just a figment of someone’s imagination.”
“A loving God would not send people to hell.”
“Hell is not eternal torment.”
“It’s not really fire. Something just ceases to exist.”
But nothing could be further from the truth, because the bible tells us in Mark 9:43-44:
“If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out.”
Be radical with your sin. Why? Because He says:
“It’s better for you to enter into heaven, maimed or with your hands cut off than to have both your hands go down into hell in a fire that can never be quenched. Where their worm does not die.”
Did you read that? The fire is not quenched. It is real fire and it does not cease. This is the Son of God, Jesus Christ Himself who said this.
You may say, “Why would a loving God send people to hell and have them tormented forever?” The answer is, God doesn’t do that. He gave you a CHOICE in order to have love. He needs to give you FREE WILL.
I can’t force my wife to love me and to marry me at gunpoint. I have to do things. I have to woo her, draw her heart so that she would love me, and I love her too. That is called a marriage.
Jesus is now married to the bride. The bride is the church. But he can’t hold humanity at gunpoint and say, “You have to love Me or I’m going to blow your heads off.” He doesn’t do that!
Instead, He draws them. He dies for them. And those who choose to refuse Him and not to walk with Him, He says, “You know what? You can go that way, and that is the path of eternal death in hell.” God doesn’t want anyone to go there.
There is NO REST, Day and Night
In Revelation 14:11, it says:
“The smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
This is talking about the end times where the whole earth is going to have this one world order, and there is going to be a chip on the right hand or the forehead. We’re getting so close to the end time, prophecy fulfilling.
Today, if you don’t take a certain type of vaccine, you can’t go to certain places. You can’t even go to work. This is happening in Canada where I live and in different parts of the world.
When will you know when they say, “Hey, you need to take this mark or else you cannot buy, you cannot sell.” It is already happening in some form.
Are you ready for persecution?
Are you ready for the coming of Jesus?
Will you stand for Jesus and not take the mark, even when it says that you will die for your faith?
We’re not exactly at that time right now yet, but we’re so, so close. The system has been set up for the anti-Christ is show up. Where is your faith?
Today we enjoy a good night’s rest. When you’ve worked the whole day. When you’ve gone and done different labor, you felt like you’re tired. You go and sleep on your bed and you’re like, “Oh God, thank you so much that I can rest.”
But you know this is a privilege that millions and millions of people do not have today in hell, because the bible says there’s no rest day and night.
One year goes by. Ten years go by. 100 years go by. 100,000 years go by, and they have no rest! Why? Because the wages of sin is death.
It is Absolute Hopelessness in Eternity
If you’ve asked anyone who visited hell, they’ve died, went to hell, and God brought them back to life by His grace. Or if you listen to someone like Bill Wiese who actually went to hell. God gave him a particularly out-of-body vision. They will say that one of the worst things that you can experience in hell is absolute hopelessness knowing that you’ll never get out of it.
I know of one person called Michael Bryan, who has been on my channel before. He overdosed on drugs and he died. And he says his spirit came out of his body just like taking your hand off your glove. And he saw the flames of fire, real tangible fire.
If you say, “Well, I don’t believe in these kinds of visions and out-of-body experiences.” Well, at least believe the bible!
In Matthew 25:41, Jesus said:
“Depart from me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
God didn’t intend hell to be for humans. But because humans have sinned, they have to go to the same place that the devil and his angels go.
In Revelation 20:10:
“The devil who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophets are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
Today, one of the greatest driving motivations for us is to have hope. Can you imagine your life without hope? That is just endless despair. That’s how hell will be like.
Hell is Filled with People Who are Full of Regrets
Did you know that in hell, people have their memories? They remember their families, their children, their parents, their friends.
They remember the people who told them:
“Hey, repent of your sins and trust in Jesus today.”
“Hey, stop playing church.”
“Hey, stop calling yourself a Christian and still practice sin.”
“Love God and obey Him.”
They are going to be in hell thinking, “Why did I not listen to them?” “Why did I not live a genuine faith?”
In Luke 16:19-31 it says:
There’s this rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus was poor when he was on the earth and the rich man was so rich. When they both died, the rich man went to hell and he saw Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom in paradise and he says, “Father Abraham, go and have Lazarus dip his finger in the water so that he can cool my tongue in this flame.”
And what was the response that he received? “I cannot do that because there’s a gulf fixed right now that separates us. You cannot go to where I am and I cannot go to where you are.”
And so this rich man says, “I beg you then therefore if I can’t come to you that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.”
He remembered his brothers. he remembered his family. Don’t let them come here. This place is utter torment!
I wish I can yell bigger! I wish I can scream louder to tell you and to remind myself that heaven and hell are real!
No matter what people say. No matter how many spiritual leaders and pastors tell you that it’s okay to be a Christian who is cardinal, who is lukewarm because there’s the grace of God.
I want to yell at the top of my lungs and say, NO! Jesus warned his church! Not everyone who says they’re Christians are going to heaven.
Jesus gave seven letters to the seven churches. And only two of those churches, did He not have great rebuked. The majority of the churches, Jesus rebuked.
And here’s the thing you need to understand. He didn’t say, “I know what you claim to be your faith is.” He says, “I know your works. I know what you have done.” Why? Because your works reveal your faith.
Today, it is a slap to God’s face when we go on Sunday or we’re at home saying, “Oh Jesus, You’re everything!” “Oh God, we love You!” When we don’t keep His commandments. When we don’t honor Him. When we don’t think about Him. We don’t pray. Or even when we pray, we are half-heartedly praying as if it’s some kind of religious duty.
May we come back to the living God. Oh God, forgive us! Motivate us! Give us Your desires and not the desires of the things of this world. When we’re distracted, God draw us back to You. Help us see. Stamp eternity on y our eyeballs. So we live our lives, our priorities, our desires, our likings, whatever it is. May it be glorifying to Your heart.
Because this is the warning!
In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus says,
“Not everyone who calls me ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father.”
On that day, Jesus says when He comes back, many will say “Lord, Lord.” These people are calling Jesus, Lord. Isn’t that what we’re doing today in the church? How many of us today in the church called Jesus, Lord? And it is right, we should call Him Lord. But are we making Him Lord of our lives?
These people are saying, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? Have we not cast out demons in Your name? Have we not done all these wonderful miracles in Your name?
And Jesus says, “I never knew you. You who practice lawlessness.”
Today is the day that we say, God, we thank You for Your grace! Thank You for waking me up with these scriptures!
There are so many times in my life when I look back, I’m like, I am backslidden. But thank You God that You’ve given me grace, that I can come back.
If this is you today. If you feel like you walked away from God. If you know of your family members, your friends who walked away from God. Share with them the Gospel! Share with them this post!
One second after we die is one second too late. There’s no more chance to repent and trust in Jesus that He will make your life right. There is no coincidence!
If you’re still reading this right now, God is speaking to you. Don’t play games. Devote your life to Him now! Because He’s calling you. He loves you, and He wants to draw you to Him, but He will not force you.
Will you turn back to God?
